We evaluate your ball screw to determine the repairs necessary to bring your ballscrew back to "like new" condition. The evaluation is free of charge. Repair costs will be quoted before any work is started. Our standard 12 month in-service warranty covers new and ball screw repair.

A temporary "quick-fix" can be performed, in some cases, to minimize your machine downtime while a replacement ball screw is manufactured. We can reverse engineer most ball screw assemblies and manufacture it for you, and keep the drawing on file for future needs. Thread-Craft will utilize our experience and expertise to get your ball screw back to you as quickly as possible.

Thread-Craft has Five Levels of Repair Service:

Level 1: Rework & Reload
  1. Clean, straighten & polish screw
  2. Rework raceway transition areas (blends)
  3. Assemble unit
  4. Inspect preload or clearance
  5. Final inspect
Level 2: Regrind
  1. Clean & straighten screw
  2. Regrind screw and/or nut
  3. Manufacture & fit new return system
  4. Assemble unit
  5. Inspect preload or clearance
  6. Final inspect
Level 3: New nut or screw
  1. Clean & polish or regrind component to be reused
  2. Manufacture new components required
  3. Manufacture & fit return system
  4. Assemble unit
  5. Inspect preload or clearance
  6. Final inspect
Level 4: Manufacture new replacement
  1. Engineer if required
  2. Manufacture all components
  3. Assemble unit
  4. Inspect preload or clearance
  5. Final inspect
Level 5: Emergency quick fix
  1. Reverse engineer as required
  2. Clean & polish to remove as much damage as possible
  3. Assemble unit
  4. Achieve best possible functional condition
